Johan sums up Oslo Motorshow 2016

As a part of mine and Turtle Wax collaboration with Teng Tools in this project, we attended the Oslo Motorshow 2016 last weekend. The response from the crowd was almost unreal by our point of view. The hype around the project was hysterical in a fantastic way from the average public to magazines and TV-show people. Our focus was not to display the car itself due it´s still a long way frome done, but instead we wanted to focus on the skilled craftsmanship in all details.  The build crew of mine that also is a few of my best friends is Otto Tillander at NOCT Design & Engineering and Jörgen Persson at Svegs Bil & Plåt attended the show with me to display how we manufactured the parts and details from design to ready piece. The stand itself was a great cooperation between Turtle Wax and Luna/ Teng Tools that really gave us possibility to describe the amount of work to get the project to where it is today.

I have got a ton of questions of how it went in the shows competitions the last 24 hours. The thing is that we made clear before attending that we are not participating in the competitions no more before the car is fully ready. The plan is to have it ready to the Bilsport Performance show in spring 2017.

I would like to take the opportunity to give all the exhibitors and price winners my warm congratulations! I have seen so many beautiful cars this weekend in various style and performance. A special congratulations I want to give to Ulf Kusendal to the well deserved price “Scandinavia´s best car 2016”. Also David Gunnars, almost a neighbor of mine and friend that went home with the price for “Best american car engine”.
Thank you all, no one mentioned, no one forgotten for a weekend to remember and see you soon again!

Meet us at Oslo Motorshow 2016!

Powered By Johan´s project Dodge Charger RTR in cooperation with Turtle Wax is still in under construction. Last time the project was displayed was at Bilsport performance show 2016 where the project was welcomed as a total success. The project got rewarded with both “Peoples choice” and Richard Rawling (from Gas Monkey Garage in US) “Special Award”.  And that for a car only half ready!
Since then the project has gone in to next level with focus of function and design of interior and details all over the car. Luna with their wide range of concepts and brands is now involved from the tool angle of the RTR project.
“ -In order to be able to manufacture a car like this we need best technical tools and equipment to do so.  To have possibility to use the 3D printer to test out our ideas to the fullest before milling the actual piece in the CNC-machine is a key factor. That gives us both better view of the build in detail as long as it both speeds up the process and helps to keep the economy in balance” says Johan.

Also multiple standard tools is used on a daily basis to create all the sheet metal work inside and outside the car. Luna  with their brand Teng Tools wants to give the visitors at Oslo Motorshow 2016 a glimse of what their tool products can produce in the right hands. Johan with his team and Turtle Wax is showing the project so far in the Luna / Teng Tool stand. Johan with team will show  the process it takes to take a part of the car from design idea to actual product using both 3D printer, CNC engineering and hand held tools.

Welcome to Oslo Motor Show to see the detail work behind the RTR project and meet Johan and his team behind it.

Not yet….

Since then the requests of us attending with the RTR project on different shows and arenas drop in on daily basis. Due to that we feel that we have to announce that the RTR will not be shown again before it´s fully ready.

After a few weeks rest since the show we are now planning the last legs of the builds along with partners and team. By that said we are very flattered of the interest of having the RTR on different happenings. But in order to follow this through we need to friendly decline our presence to all of you at the moment in order to give ourselves a fair chance to make it ready as soon as possible. We will announce where and when that will be along with our partner Turtle Wax further on.

The Dodge Charger RTR image movie on request

Home again after attending the Bilsport Performance & Custom show with my Dodge Charger -68 RTR along with my team and Turtle Wax/ SEAB. That a car that is not more than half ready could get this amazing attention really blow my mind. That it would get cheering from the crowd we all understood though in our own eyes it´s a build with extreme high quality where I have not allowed any short cuts from my vision of what to be.

The fact that we contributed on the show out of competition with a half ready project with mock up wheels and still received Hot Rod TV celebrity “Richard Rawlings Special Award 2016” known from Gas Monkey Garage and TV-show Fast ´n loud, that also several times offered me to buy it from me. We also received Peoples choice in the category “Performance” by the jury just show us how great impact this project makes. The jury told us that it has never happened earlier that a not ready built car attending the show out of competiton recieved a jury price, but they just could not overlook the fact that how it looked. And that is really something we appreciates from them and show how uniquely this project really is.

Check out the second version here of Turtle Wax image movie of the Dodge Charger RTR project here that was created by Profil46. The movie was displayed in the showcase for the crowd to really get an understanding of the amount of work from smallest detail in this project to get it where it is right now, still only half finished. Yet we have a lot of work left to do but with both my team, family, friends and partners as Turtle Wax we are most confident that we will fulfill my vision as planned.

Thank you all for the cred we got from you all!

Yesterdays unvailing of the project Dodge Charger RTR “still under construction” would not have happend without my team, friends, sponsors and supporters. Every project has it´s own charm and creates friends and memories for life. My earlier builds as the Viper GTS and the Black Charger -68 was only possible to be reality thanks to all my friends and partners along the line. No one mentioned or forgotten but you all know who you are. Some has bin involved a way or another in all projects, and some in just parts of one of them.

Of cource everyone understands that this is the case also in this RTR project.  Regardless your position, amount of work or role in this project, thank you all from the bottom of my hart! This journey with all of you so far in this has bin a blast from the start. This project would never had seen the daylight without you all. You are the best!
