Last weekend the annual Wheels nationals took place in Älvdalen where we attended with both the Black Charger and the Viper without competition. Instead johan has a assignment as judge in the annual competion “Muscle car of the year”.
Other events visited in Sweden during the summer is the Power big Meet in Västerås, Classic car week in Rättvik.
On a direct question to Johan what his biggest impression from this weekend is, the answer is simple. – It´s to see how the black Charger inspires and spread joy to the visiting crowd. I have built this car after my head and find it superb. But from that to get this welcome from the crowds wherever the car is displayed is just amazing! – It´s rock `n roll when i start up the engine and play loud music trough the cars stereo system, and i love it!
På en direkt fråga om vad Johans största intryck av helgens mässa är så är svaret enkelt. – Det är att se hur min svarta Charger inspirerar och sprider glädje till alla som ser den. – Jag har ju byggt den efter mitt eget tycke och smak, men att få detta mottagande vart än den visas upp är helt otroligt! – Det är rock `n roll när jag startar upp motorn och spelar musik, och jag gillar det!
After three days of head to head competition in a stage, with judges giving and drawing points for looks, imperfections, craftmanship and a whole list of other things only the final day remains at sunday the 4th. Johan is proud and exited of getting so far as to the final leg of this competition but have no hopes winning it, due to the competitors cars is at a such high level. It all comes down to tomorrow and we are exited to see how the outcome gets.
Efter tre dagars tävling i form av en stege där man slår ut lottade motståndare i “head to head” möten har nu startfältet på 70 bilar reducerats till 16 som kvalat in till final. En av dem är Johans Dodge Viper! Johan själv har inga förhoppningar om att vinna detta då motståndet är av högsta klass i Europa. Johan är stolt och glad att ha kommit till final och hur utfallet blir får vi veta imorgon eftermiddag.
They met already two weeks ago at Bilsport Performance & Custom Show in Sweden where John D´Agostino was displaying his latest masterpiece “Sophia”, a rare customized Cadillac coupé year 1940. John saw Johan´s latest build, the “Dodge Charger RTR project” there and when he now in Germany also saw the Viper and the black Charger Johan got him self a new fan of his work.
John D´Agostino har blivit ett nytt fan av Johans bilbyggarkonster. De sågs redan under Bilsport Performance & Custom Show på Elmia i påsk där John ställde ut sitt mästerverk “Sophia”, en Cadillac Coupé -1940. Då de båda ställer ut nere på European Tuning Showdown har John nu fallit för Johans svarta Charger -68 och öser superlativ över bygget. John D´Agostino
PbJ har med sig sin Dodge Viper GTS -96 som huvudattraktion detta året. Bilen är ombyggd både i motor, chassi och interiört.
